Milandhoo Quran Centre
About
A branch of the national Centre for the Holy Quran, built by Milandhoo Council with two classrooms for Quran courses. It was opened in May 2017 by the Islamic Affairs Minister. While the Islamic Centre is being built, the council uses it as the island's temporary prayer space.

Conversion into temporary prayer space
The island council began converting the Quran Centre into a temporary prayer space, paid entirely from its own budget, because a new mosque could not be built before Ramadan.

Minister Dr Ahmed Ziyad opened the council-funded branch, which has two classrooms. Courses were to start before Ramadan.
