About

A new Islamic Centre for Milandhoo, being built where Masjid Al-Ikraam stood, as a modern facility for up to 700 worshippers. The Ministry of Islamic Affairs awarded the design-and-build contract to MTCC in March 2025 with a 720-day timeline, and the President attended the groundbreaking on 15 October 2025. While it is under construction, the island council has turned the Quran Centre into a temporary prayer space, funded from its own budget.
